1.            IMPORTANT DATES

BASTION’S BIRTHDAY (School closes 11:00)

Environment Club:  Grabouw (Gr 3 – 7)

Athletics (Field events) and  hurdles (heats)

Athletics Gr 4 – 7: Colour Groups

Wed 24 September

Heritage Day (Public holiday)

Thu 25 September

Interhouse: Rugby, netball and hockey (During school hours)

Fri 26 September

SCHOOL CLOSES - 10:30 (Reports to learners)

               

Foundation Phase Athletics:  Athletics meeting on Fri, 19 Sept. has been postponed due to the rain. 

Our fields are too wet and more rain is expected.  The meeting will only take place during the 4th Term on Fri, 24 October 2008.

 

Bastion's Birthday

            Civvy clothes – 18 Sept.

Please bring FLOWERS (Arrangements/loose flowers), so that we can give them to the old age homes, businesses and schools.

 

 

 

2.           EXTRA MURAL ACTIVITIES

ATHLETICS:        Mon 22 Sept: Field events - Finals and Hurdles (heats)

Gr 3 – 7 after school.

Tues 23 Sept: Track events: Gr 4 – 7 during school hours.

           

3.           SCHOOL FEES: Gr 1 -  7    R4000 per CHILD per ANNUM

            NB All monies (correct amount) must be sent to school in a sealed envelope.

             

4.        SCHOOL AND SPORTSWEAR (Enquiries: secretaries  981-1882).

Every Wednesday evening: 17:00 – 18:00

Sales: Mon & Wed 13:30 – 15:00

 

5.        SOAP BOX CARTS   

                Thank you very much to every one (learners and parents) who helped to make this effort such a huge success.

6.        STAFF NEWS

Birthdays: Mr D van Zyl (Scholar patrol - Thu 18 Sept), H Botha (Janitor - Mon 22 Sept) and Miss R Lourens (Tue 23 Sept). 

Congratulations. May you have a happy and prosperous year ahead.

 

7.        PLASTIC BAGS: R25 per packet of 250 bags. Complete slip and send with correct amount to Mr Esterhuizen.

 

8.        GENERAL

            REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

·          KENTUCKY COMPETION.

·          Dutch Reformed Church, Heidekoppie is having a Childrens’ weekend this coming weekend.  “Sokkie and

DVD show on Friday night.  Saturday:  Stalls and other activities at church.  All welcome.
