Dear Parents

 

We would like to bring the following to your attention.

 

1.     IMPORTANT DATES

Tue 9 September

Governing Body 18:00

 

2.           EXTRA MURAL ACTIVITIES

            Athletics(Gr 1 – 3): During school hours.

            Athletics practices (U/9 – U/13): Monday – Thursday until 15:00.           

DATES:          Fri 12 Sept:     Athletics: Foundation Phase:Colour groups.

                         Thu 18 Sept:  Bastion’s birthday (school closes at 11:00 )

Mon 22 Sept:  Athletics (Field events - finals) & Hurdles 

                          (Heats):  Gr 3 – 7 after  school.                                                 

                          Tue 23 Sept: Athletics (Track events); Gr 4 – 7 (during

                                                     school hours)

                        Wed 24 Sept:  Heritage Day: (Holiday – school closed)                      

Thu 25 Sept:    Interhouse (Rugby, netball and hockey) –  

                                                     school hours.

                         Fri 26 Sept:    Soap Box Carts – (during school hours)

                                                            School closes at 10:30 for end of term.

           

3.           SCHOOL FEES: Gr 1 -  7    R4000 per CHILD per ANNUM

            PARENTS WHO HAVE NOT YET PAID ANY SCHOOL FEES FOR THIS 

                YEAR WILL BE HANDED OVER..

Parents who are in arrears by the end of October  will be handed over in 

NOVEMBER.

 

We appeal to parents to keep the payment of  their school fees up to date.

NB All monies (correct amount) must be sent to school in a sealed envelope.

             

4.        SCHOOL AND SPORTSWEAR (Enquiries: ssecretariess  981-1882).

Every Wednesday evening: 17:00 – 18:00

Sales: Mon & Wed 13:30 – 15:00

 

If you have any secondhand clothing at home which is no longer in use, we would appreciate it if you could

donate it to the school. We have families in our school who could make good use of your donation.

 

5.        STAFF NEWS

Birthdays: Mrs A Britz (Sat 6 Sept), Mr L Crous (Mon 8 Sept) and Miss M Human (Mon 8 Sept).  Congratulations.

May you have a happy and prosperous year ahead.

 

6.           SOAP BOX CARTS:  CLOSING DATE 10 September. 

                Only learners whose money is paid in on this day will be eligible for the drawing of the prizes.

 

7.        SCHOOL HOURS: 4TH  TERM 2008

Gr 1 & 2 learners   12:10 (Tuesdays) AND 13:00 (Thursdays)

Gr 3 – 7 learners:   13:00 (Tuesdays) AND 14:00 (Thursdays)

 

8.        PLASTIC BAGS:  R25 per packet of 250 bags. Complete slip and send with correct amount to Mr Esterhuizen.

 

9.        GENERAL

            REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

·          KENTUCKY COMPETITION.

·          CASUAL DAY: Friday 5 September 2008.

Only learners who are wearing the sticker, may wear civvies to school.

·           DVD of concert available @ R100 each.  (Last day:  5 Sept)
