Bastion took part at the
Western Cape Top Schools Chess Championships on Fri, 22 Aug.
Achieved an over-all 7th
position in the Western Cape.
3. SCHOOL
FEES: Gr 1 - 7 R4000 per CHILD per ANNUM
PARENTS WHO HAVE NOT YET
PAID ANY SCHOOL FEES FOR THIS
YEAR WILL BE HANDED OVER.
Parents who are in arrears by
the end of October, will be handed over
in
NOVEMBER.
We appeal to parents to keep the payment of their school fees up to date.
NB All
monies (correct amount) must be sent to
school in a sealed envelope.
4. school and sportswear (Enquiries:
secretaries 981-1882).
Every Wednesday evening: 17:00
– 18:00
Sales: Mon &
Wed 13:30 – 15:00
If you have any secondhand clothing at home which is no
longer in use, we would appreciate it if you could donate
it to the school. We have families at school who could
make good use of your donation.
5. STAFF NEWS
Birthdays: Mrs C Limba (Sat 30 Aug) and
Mr W Esterhuizen (Sun 31 Aug).
Congratulations. May you have a
happy and prosperous year ahead.
6. SOAP BOX CARTS: CLOSING DATE 10 September.
Only learners whose money is
paid in on this day will be eligible for the drawing of the prizes.
7. SCHOOL HOURS: 4TH TERM 2008
Gr 1
& 2 learners 12:10 (Tuesdays) AND 13:00 (Thursdays)
Gr 3 –
7 learners: 13:00 (Tuesdays) AND 14:00
(Thursdays)
8. TESTS
I am concerned about the large
number of learners who do not study for their tests. In certain classes
there are
also learners who never do
any homework. Parents must please check their child(ren)’s work at home.
All tasks are assessed and will be reflected in the term
report.
9. GENERAL

KENTUCKY COMPETITION: Remember to place
the cash slip with Bastion
Primary
written
on the back , in the container at the local KFC branch when buying meals there.

CASUAL DAY STICKERS
(5 September) available at secretaries @ R10 each.
Only learners who have bought a
sticker may wear civvies to school.

PLASTIC BAGS: R25 per packet of 250 bags. Complete slip and send with the correct amount to Mr Esterhuizen.
·
DVD of concert
available @ R100 each. (Last day – Wed 3 September).
