Dear Parents

Welcome to all of you at the beginning of the new year. A special word of welcome to all the parents and

learners who have joined us for the first time. May 2010 be a year of co-operation and parent involvement.

2. SCHOOL HOURS

The school hours will remain the same throughout the year

School starts at 07:45 (Learners must be at school on time)

School closes for the grades as follows:

Gr R (Pre-Primary) 12:00 (Mon – Fri)

Gr 1 & 2 13:00 (Mon, Wed, Thu & Fri) Tue at 12:10

Gr 3 Ma, Wo (14:00); Di, Do en Vr (13:00)

Gr 4 – 7 14:00 (Mon, Wed, Thu & Fri)

On Tuesday, school closes at 13:00 for Gr 3 – 7.

3. NEWSLETTER

The school newsletter goes out every Wednesday to the youngest or only child. We have learned

from experience that the letters reach parents more reliably via the younger child.

· Sign and return tear-off slip to school

· Keep newsletter for future reference

· When absent, you child will receive a newsletter the following day

4. SCHOOL AND SPORTSWEAR (Enquiries: secretaries 981-1882).

Sales: Mon & Wed 13:30 – 15:00 Every Wednesday evening: 17:00 – 18:00

5. SCHOOL FEES: Gr 1 - 7

NB All monies (correct amount) must be sent to school in a sealed envelope.

School fees can be paid at the financial secretaries any time during the day.

Fees: Gr R R5500 per child per year (no discount)

Gr 1 – 7 R5170 per child per year

- Payable over 11 months (January – November): R 470 per month.

- Discount (10%: R517), if paid before end of February. (Amount of R4653)

- Any person who would like to apply for full or partial exemption, may collect forms

from the financial secretaries. Applications must be done annually.

6. STAFF NEWS

Congratulations to: Christiaan van der Vyver, Danika du Plessis en Jorick Fourie with their matric results.

New staff members: Mrs A Delport; Mrs M Meyer & Ms M van der Merwe.

Birthdays: Ms M Engelbrecht (Sat 16 Jan). Congratulations! May you have a happy and prosperous year ahead.

7. GENERAL

- Motor vehicles will not be allowed on the school grounds, when dropping off your child.

- Parents are not allowed in the school during school hours.

- Appointments can be made at the secretaries to see a teacher.

· All school gates will be locked during school hours. (The electric gate will be open for access to the secretaries – must sign in at the security guard on duty).

Of all parts of wisdom the practice is the best.
